A traditional sesame roaster handcrafted in Japan.

This kanaami (wire mesh) roaster gently removes the husks of sesame seeds as they are shaken over heat, allowing you to enjoy evenly roasted, fragrant sesame with a clean taste.

For best results, hold the roaster about 20 cm above the flame and shake lightly to avoid scorching. In addition to sesame seeds, it can also be used to roast small amounts of beans, coffee beans, or ginkgo nuts.

This item has been produced in nearly the same form for over 50 years, reflecting timeless craftsmanship and functionality.
